Having bought some wild Atlantic cod and some Wild blue shrimps, I need to conjure up a quick and easy family meal that will satisfy my hungry kids. I decide to quickly rustle up a stir-fry with some brown rice. This is the result:
Ingredients
Wild Alaskan cod
Wild blue shrimp
1 yellow onion
1 green bell pepper
Handful of sweetcorn (frozen)
1 tbsp of fish sauce
Soy sauce (gluten free), to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Sesame oil
How to make
1.Put a good slug of sesame oil into a wok or sauté pan
2. Sauté the onion for about 5 minutes
3. Add the green pepper and sauté for another few minutes
4. Add the prawns and sauté for another 3 or 4 minutes and then follow with the cod
5. Add in the fish sauce and soy sauce. I only add a little soy sauce at this stage and then add more at the table, according to everyone’s own taste
6. Add a little black pepper
7. Serve over brown rice

Hey, I think you are competing with me for being gluten free easily! This looks so good and so easy. I’ve never heard of Wild Blue shrimp, but I haven’t met a shrimp I didn’t like yet.

Too funny. Sounds like a funky Picasso painting ‘Wild BLUE Shrimp’. Any shrimp’ll do the trick.

I’ve got shrimp on the brain too! Great idea to use cod in the recipe. I have had white fish stir fries and Asian restaurants, but never thought to make that addition at home!
