Me, me, me – oh and me…

Yes – you guessed it. This post is all about ME.

Why?

Well. Firstly. Why not? I mean what else do you really want to read about other than me?

Ok. Maybe not quite. But, not a bad thought. ;-).

What?

Ok. Here’s the scoop. There’s this crazy blog award doing the rounds of the blogosphere right now. It’s a kind of anti award, award. A small twist on the somewhat more glamorous awards season that we are currently in the midst of.

It is called the Memetastic Award. And I’ve been awarded it by the lovely Tia of Glügle Gluten Free.

I’m not sure I’ve ever won an award. Ever. I think I maybe won a box of chocolates once at school in a ‘who can do the Rubiks cube the quickest’ competition. But I really honestly think that that is it.

So this is pretty cool. Thank you Tia!

Even if it’s a crazy, ugly, blog award. It still means someone took the time to think of me and pass me the poisoned chalice of passing on the award baton… No, I don’t mean that really. But what I do mean and what I don’t mean is entirely down to you to figure out as this award is all about telling downright lies?

Lies?

Yep.

I have to list 5 things about myself. 1 of them will be true. Which one? Ahhhh.

I then pass this award on to 5 other bloggers out there, who in turn pass it on an on and on. And eventually, there will be hundreds of meme’s out there. Well maybe. It’s a bit like the chain letter that someone always seems to break.

I award the following 5 bloggers the memetastic award, as I’m intrigued about what they might say about themselves:

Elizabeth at Saffron Lane, Amy at Simply Sugar & Gluten-Free, Sea of The Book of Yum, Kris at What’s Cooking? and Iris at the Daily Dietribe.

And my lies and truth are/is…

  1. I own a luxury yacht.
  2. My family invented the After Eight mint.
  3. I love baseball.
  4. My middle name is Gertrude.
  5. I once appeared in a movie.

So, this award was all started by Jillsmo at Yeah. Good Times. Go check out her blog. It really is worth a read. As long as you don’t mind the expeletives. She has a knack of saying all of the things nobody ever dares say.

For those of you that have been tagged by me you can go over to her post to get the official rules. And, she would love it if you would link up so she can see where this is going.

Tia sums the site up perfectly. ‘Truck driver!’. Need I say more?

  1. Hmmm…you have me stumped! Number 2 sounds the most interesting and Number 5 sounds entirely possible. I think, I will go with #2 though!!! Cannot wait to find out! ;0) xo

  2. It is so hard to guess on some of these. I’m thinking #5.

    xo to you, dear Nicola,
    Shirley

  3. Eve says:

    Hurrah for the award!! Eve

  4. Maggie says:

I want it to be #5!

  5. I want it to be #1, so we can come down and go for a sail.

I am so horrible at these, so I am going to guess #3, since no one has guessed that one yet.

    xo – Tia

  6. [...] It’s also time to come clean about my truths and untruths from my Memetastic Award. [...]

  7. I’m hoping you own a luxury yacht so that I can visit. :)

Honestly, I’m honored that you chose to share this award with me. It’s always a little humbling when one of my peers shares my work with their readers.

    Many hugs,
    Amy
